Ontario is one of the 10 provinces and three territories that make up Canada. The province of Ontario is located in the central portion of Canada and is one of the country's richest provinces, in terms of both culture and resources. It covers 1,068,580 square kilometres of territory and boasts some of the best scenery in Canada. In Ontario alone, there are close to 250,000 lakes! Toronto, with a population of 4 million, is Ontario's capital and Canada's largest city. Ottawa, located on the eastern border of the province, is the nation's capital.

 Population:
Ontario is home to 11 million people, or approximately 30% of the country's population.

 Language:
English is the most commonly used language in Ontario, although French is also widely spoken.


 Culture:
Canada has been called a mosaic for its varied cultural representation. Ontario is home to a wide variety of cultural groups, some of the most predominant being Chinese, South Asian, West Indian, Italian, Philippino and Greek.
